Just to clarify:
The Boss Br-532 supports MMC (and mabey MTC if i remember correctly) as a master unit only
The Rolands support MMC and MTC as a master or slave.
This is the best vocals I've heard by an amature. However the music writing of the song stands to be improved dramatically.
Meldoies are cool. Arrangement and orchestration suck.
Overall all you kickass.
would about a daisy chain consisting of a boss br 532 and two rolands either 1680 or 1880 or one of each? Would this work without an external?
I dont need the on board fx or features like that I just need physical tracks with faders.
I dont want to spend more then $500. Thats why im asking. I dont need all the extra on board shit of the newer models i just need more physical tracks for editing.
I need the physical tracks with the faders for editing.
If I were to sync two digital machines using MMC or MTC or whatever would I lose tracks on them? Would I need a third party device?
If your learning about triads then stick with major and natural minor scales for now. They are relatively the same thing and the best for harmonizing triads.
Do you already know about intervals?
Is it easy to use if your familar with 4 trach recording?
Is it easy to link up with Cubase SX (which im yet to learn how to use!) - and what wires do i need to connect up to my PC?
Is the burn of the final mixes to CD of a good (loud) quality?
Are the drums programable like, say the Alesis...
I have a br-532. I took a rca cable and and cut one end off. Then spliced an 1/8" jack to it. Plugged the rca into the analog out of the 4-track. Plugged the 1/8" into the computer speaker. Armed recording software for record and then hit play on the 4-track.
You just have to learn how to use it man. Kind of like learning how to drive. I got a Dr. Rhy 670 and was making beats in a matter of hours. My only previous experiences with a drum machine were putting preset loops together.
ive been searching, belive me. the thing is that fostex makes a digital 8 track for like $250. Unfortunetly it doesn't have midi in. To bad because 16 track for $500 would be pretty sweet. Alot of the recorders have features that I just don't need (like the built in effects drum machines and...
I would record them both on seperate tracks.
On the second track leave dead air time up until the point that the 1st song ends.
Fade the tracks however you want them to sound.
Figure out what time the 2nd track is to come in.
Insert or remove dead air space from track two to sync them up...
If my machines support MMC then what do i need to get them to sync? Do i just need to buy a cable and then program them?
Both of the manuals say that each machine is capable of being a master but not a slave under the title heading, "Synchronizing playback with a MIDI sequencer." But under the...
I dont know anything about MIDI. I was wondering if it could be used to sync up two seperate multi track recorders. So that one multi track could play back tracks while the other one records.
