I have a Zoom gfx707, GREAT for begginers, and I'll tell you if you buy it, you won't need the other unit, since you can edit the effects until you get almost exactly what you want... And yes I've succesfully combined echo + distortion, wah + delay + distortion (A favorite), flanger + distortion...

hhmmm.. that's like for just recording ideas, if you're gonna use that space for your songs they will have to be compressed audio... Tone Works looks pretty cool! but for the price, and knowing that it's just for recording ideas, I would rather have a 4 track-tape...

I tried adding a bass drum but it didn't make much difference... any tips?
