im one of those people who swear by protools... but its all a matter of opinion, if i were you i would go with the digi002R, and get nice preamp with ADAT out so u can have more ins on the digi002R... M-Audio makes a 8 channel mic preamp called the octane...

yeah, u dont need ur CPU sound card, the sound comes form the MBOX, so i guess it has liek a sound card inside of the mbox, or sumin like that... but i no for a fact that u wont be needing your sound card...

Go with the MBOX i have one and like it alot (although i get my 002 in about a week)... i havnt had any problems with it, the mic preamps are awesome, for the price of the unit i think its an awesome value... and i love working with pro tools...

yeah... it has phantom power, and the mic preamps are very nice... it should suit u fine for what ur recording...

well there are certain standards that allow u to burn to a CD... for cd select wav. then stereo interleave... then 44.1 i think, im not near my recording PC and im fairly new to recording so i cant remember exactly...

i tryed to get the drums the best i could im new to recording, im working with the mbox so i had to use a seperate mixer, and only had 3 mics at the time so i tryed to pick up the kit the best i could...

are u using a mac? i guess if u dont use a PC they wont play cuz they are in WMA format

when they are recording your bass... what is the gain set to on the mic pre amp u are recording too... turn it all the way off if its getting clipping... its right on the front of the MBOX...

did you buy the Mbox factory bundle... if so that comes with tons of great plug ins and u should be fine with them if u didnt get the factory bundle ummm... i cant really help you with your question cuz i am happy with the plug ins i got bundled with my 002

i think both messa and marshall are great... but ive heard some bad things about the new mode 4's... if i was go go marshall i would just get a DSL or TSL head... and messa i would get duel or triple rectifer...
