Can someone put up a pic of home printed c.d.?

I've got an Epson 300. The printed CDs look pretty good, but it tears up ink cartridges. I've resorted to just printing text on the CDs as it is way to expensive to cover the entire surface with ink. Apparently, the Epson printers will develope a problem with the CD printer tray over time. Mine...

    Guitar Wireless ! Suggestions ?

I scored a Nady wireless in the 80's. It worked like a charm doing gigs for years. Ate a lot of 9 volt batteries though.

    Decals

In the 80's, some one was making guitar necks with a Jackson shaped headstock that said "Jackass" in the Jackson script on them.

    Digitech RP50 settings for metal

Thanks for the tips and links. I tweaked the "metal scoop" preset by "unscooping" it and adding a little compression. With the cabinet modeling on it sound usable.

    Digitech RP50 settings for metal

This guy I know gave me a Digitech RP50(one of those indefinite loan things). On-line reviews range from the cats pajamas to the cats ass. I've heard you can get some usable sounds from it if you tweak the presets. I'm looking for decent heavy metal settings for direct recording.

    Fender Bassman 100 DI problem

I've had a Fender Bassman 100 for about 7 months. It has a DI out(XLR) on the back panel with a level control and a pre/post eq button. When it is set to PRE, I get a good signal. When it is set to POST, I get nothing. I want POST. Sounds like it's fucked up to me. According to the...

    Zoom mrs 1044 and mixer

Just run your drum mics into the mixer and plug the OUT on the mixer to one of the INPUT channels of the recorder. Experiment with the faders(or knobs) on the mixer until you get a decent mix.

    Hated!

When you press the "INPUT SEL" key the bottom row(FADER 9-16) of "CH STATUS/CH SEL" keys should flash orange. If you are plugged into CH 8, press the key for CH 16. Press "EXIT" to clear the display. Adjust the TRIM knob for CH8/16/H so the level bar is over the midline. By adjusting the CH 16...

    Anybody Regret Buying VF16?

I love my VF160. It's really easy to use and it sounds great. I don't see why everyone is having trouble with the manual. It seemed perfectly coherent to me. If you get one make sure you get the foot switch, and the gig bag is nice too.

alesis SR16 vs. Zoom MRT3 vs. Zoom RT223

I guess I wasn't clear. What I meant was that the amount of real time that a beat takes cannot be shortened. Which has caused slight pauses in songs that were not suppossed to be there until the drums were programmed. I scrounged out my own kit from the available drums. My kit has kick, snare...

trying to record live band the best way

I have a Fostex VF160. This is what I do. 2 overhead condensers on the drum kit, 1 on kick, 1 on snare. Take a line in from each guitar and bass amp if you can, if not, close mic each. Don't bother with vocals(or guitar solos), just punch 'em in later. If you HAVE to get the vocals, get a line...

    Putting out a split

I get pissed after 10 or so. You really do not want to do 200. It took me hours to do 30. That includes burning the CD, printing on the CD, printing the two sided jewel case inserts, assembling the jewel cases and "shrink" bagging the bastards. I'd send out for them.

alesis SR16 vs. Zoom MRT3 vs. Zoom RT223

I've had the SR16 for over a year. I have two complaints about it. The first one is that you can't divide the beats. Each beat has 8 subdivisions. You can't set it to just have, say 4 subdivisions. The second is that you must use the same tempo for the entire song. This has forced me to stop...

    almost new construction questions

I met this guy who has a property he is marginally interested in selling. It is a 5 acre lot on a road with 9 other 5 acre lots. He is living in a small trailer on the property, but he has constructed a 4 car garage and a 40'x28' cinder block out building(his future wood shop) with concrete...

    licensed Floyd Rose noise

I don't have a guitar with a tremelo bridge. I have a friend who does. He doesn't play the guitar. It's more of a decoration(it's a 1999 B.C. Rich NJ Warlock). I asked him if I could borrow his guitar so I could record some whammy bar stuff. Since he's not going to miss it, I've got it for...
