figured it out, when i have my mixer plugged in to my tower via usb, it wont play anything through my headphones which are also connected to my tower! bizarre

what you mean? i plug my mic into my mixer, then my mixer into my comp via usb.

ok, so for those who havent read my "today" post i bought a yamaha mw12 instead of the behinger. got cubase le with it aswell. sadly, ive not been able to play back what ive recorded because it wont do for some reason :( maybe i have to get the manual out like a loser!

il be getting an interface sometime before christmas hopefully. Not had much chance to set anything up cos ive been working this evening (im in uk!)

yeh i agree, i wanna get my hands dirty recording stuff, on my own and in my band. Once ive got a bit more experience (and cash!), i'l look to buy better gear, but im hoping stuff like my sm57's will last me.

must admit im abit of a noob at recording ( if you've already guessed!), i just plugged my mic and headphones into seperate ports on my computers tower. Ive no proper gear yet just trying to get used to cubase before i buy some proper mics and an edirol fa101, whatever one of them does...
