How much can one improve ?

EXCELLENT QUESTIONS! Ok, first of all, it is great to hear that you have decided to venture into lessons. I have about 9 years of training behind me, it was a long hard road, but it paid off big time. QUOTE: “What I'm wondering is how much I should be expecting my range to increase” Everyone...

ETHAN, JOHN, I need acoustical room help.

All right guys, I finally got around to working on my bedroom studio. The past couple of years I have been dumping money into equipment, now I want to spend money on things like furniture and acoustical treatment. Eventually, I should be moving everything down to the basement in a build control...

    Maynards Vocals. .. Again.

Just keep in mind that when they track a song in a pro studio, they spend most of the time tracking and retracking the lead vox. NO SINGER IS PERFECT !

For those in the market for new monitors.....

Barefoot, They look to cool for words. Where does one listen to a pair? Are they for studio monitoring only? If so, are they near fields? oh yes, best of luck !

    Rock project final mixes

LOT OF DEPTH!!!! A definite improvement from the last cut, which I liked very much. This mix I find much sweeter, defiantly has more clarity, far more space and like I mentioned more depth. Overall, FANTANTIC engineering job. 5 stars for song and production.

so this is the singing forum?

WELCOME erichenryus, What is going on here is that you are simply at the top of your range and must struggle and stretch to reach the note. ALL SINGERS HAVE THIS PROBLEM ! Here is some things that may help; 1. When you must hit this note, make the note extra nasal. Produce the sound of this...

    question about vocal-fatigue

Sorry Chris ! I must disagree with this statement. I think you are confusing style over technique. I am not in anyway a fan of Mariah, but to my ears, she is doing it all the way right on the money. Opera does not hold the only key to proper singing. Being trained by a very good Opera...

    question about vocal-fatigue

HEY SIX, Excellent questions! Ok, here is how it plays out… Quote, “are vocal-exercises (that much) more demanding on your voice than singing songs?” Yes and No. They are more demanding in the way of pushing your untrained voice to become more durable. They are less demanding if a teacher...
