Are most studio monitors just about better quality than any home stereo speakers? I am using a home surround sound setup to do my mixing on.... the mixes do come out weird on other systems sometimes, so Im thinking of upgrading but I cant afford 300 a piece for studio monitors :) yet.

I believe if you have those two track highlited as linked... just press them both down again and lift off one finger. It will then only be selecting one channel.

If that doesnt work, to record drums/keys through some overheads... I would go buy a couple Shure sm 58's you can usually find some on craigslist or ebay used for a pretty good price. They work well for recording most any instrument. They dont require phantom power, and they are easier to work...

Is there a way to adjust the buffer size in cubase when your audio device is just the default asio?

Tascam 2488... is it still considered a step ahead technology? Or is it now become one among the home recording "old school"... I have a tascam 2488 and a Line 6 Toneport UX8, and I cant exactly tell which one produces better sound quality on certain situations.... does any one have any input?
