What do I need to get and what do I need to set up? please help!

Hi, I'm Ollie,
I've been recording for about six months now and with the pod studio ux1 I was having great results! However I had to record drums and piano on a keyboard which obviously isn't ideal for great results so I wanted some overheads to record drums and piano with so I bought some kit but I don't know how to set it up. If someone could please advise me I would be very thankful. I'll list all the recording items I have so anyone who wishes to help me can tell me how to set it up and (if so) I need to buy anything else.

I use a Dell inspiron laptop with windows vista for recording,
Pod Studio UX1,
Behringer C-2 condenser microphones (pair),
Behringer premium 8-input 2-Bus Mixer UB802,
I have 3 jack to jack cables and 2 jack to female microphone cables.

I read on other forums about someone who couldnt get it to work but someone said he might need male to female microphone cables and that guy then came back and said it was working, so I'm not sure if I should get those cables as well but after getting the condenser microphones and finding out I needed phantom power and had to spend more money on something I'm not sure how to work, I have decided to get help before I go any further.

The mixer has phantom power but you'll need balanced XLR female to XLR male cables to use it. So get 2 of those, connect the mics to the mixer's XLR inputs, and then run the main outs from the mixer to the line inputs on the Pod Studio.

If that doesnt work, to record drums/keys through some overheads... I would go buy a couple Shure sm 58's you can usually find some on craigslist or ebay used for a pretty good price. They work well for recording most any instrument. They dont require phantom power, and they are easier to work with. I would set them up one on each side of your room, or sound field and use them to record a stereo left and right track.

SM57's would be more suitable for recording intruments, as they are the same mic, but the 58 has a bass roll off and a presence peak tailored for live vocals. the 57 is a little flatter and so will be more suitable for instruments/room mics.
 
they've arrived and i've set them up and they work fine, but I can't get any sound into pod farm or ableton live 7? i don't think its getting through the pod studio so what should I do?
