    Fading out

Oh wait, are you talking about crossfading? Then, the audio needs to be overlapping. Read the help file, it'll explain a little better, I don't know that one off the top of my head, but I think when they're overlapping, you hit the c key, and it'll do it for you.

    Fading out

go into the track mixer. Make sure the master output is showing. click the little W button to the left of it. then, play the song, and when you need to fade, start dragging the fader down. Then, when it's done, click on the W again (To turn off write automation). It should work fine.

    screws in a BLUE Mouse

Wait, I only saw 2, and it said to remove them? They were on opposite sides of the mic with a label that said, "REMOVE these screws before use". So if I ship it, I should put them back in? And if I were to use it with them in, would any damage occur? Thanks, BTW for answering, it's a kinda...

    screws in a BLUE Mouse

I don't know if anyone has one, but what are the purpose of the two screws and why are you supposed to remove them on the sides before use? I tested it with them in, I didn't even notice the little tiny warning labels on them. I can't even comprehend why BLUE would have them there, unless it's...

Yeah, but there is a such thing as not enough storage space :o

Waves SSL 4000 plugs vs. SSL 4000

But wouldn't you think the advancement in home recording quality wise is putting pressure on big studios? I know most artists have their own mobile studios now, but they all probably go to the big ones for actual tracking. But that fact alone could mean less business. Look at Korn. I know...

    L2 limiter plugin...how to use

Heh, you just answered a question I had for a long time but didn't quite understand. I mean, why add the option to dither to 16 when you can do it in the DAW? But now it all makes sense. I think.

Not to be played while on acid

I don't have a fuckin' clue, I'll admit to that. But that guitar still would be better as some massive vibrator.

    Downsizing on extensive guitar collection

Downsizing is the greatest. I just got a variax to replace everything, and no one can tell the difference. Unless you play the thing. Then it's not quite as cool.

    Recording (non-real) Drums??

I'd have to say, using Groove Agent, BFD, and DKFH (Not superior), BFD Had the best sounds. It all sounds wonky at first, but tweak for a few minutes and you can make the hardest rock set around. It's well worth the $250 or so, better than a pulse drum kit for the same price. EDIT: Heh, I...

    Recording (non-real) Drums??

heh, cool, I love hearing why people like different things. Usually has to do with what you've started on, or so I've seen

    Could there be..... artifacting?

I had always heard AAC was inferior to MP3, and I FLAC is too large. But, I never used to use a Mac for recording and always hung with a windows crowd, so I've got some perception changes to do. I'll try AAC and see how it suits this stuff

    Check out this crazy motherfucker!

I'm not going to watch it, but I'm going to guess it's an acoustic guitarist, maybe one of the guitar trio, and they've mastered the whole making a full beat while you're playing the guitar. Am I right?

    Recording (non-real) Drums??

Why the trigger pads? I've always wondered why people like to use them, because the way they're set up is nothing like a drum set and nothing like a keyboard, and it's always seemed so counterintuitive to me. I'm a little quirky, but with my Oxygen8 v2 I can do drums easier than on somthing...

    Recording (non-real) Drums??

cool, you've got the same "talent" that I have. Can you hear pretty much the entire song just from one riff or one beat? That's the way it is for me, and it rocks my socks.

    Recording (non-real) Drums??

I would say V-Drums too, but for what I would need I'd have to spend $5000 (I play drums on the side, have gotten pretty damn good, and really won't settle for non mesh pads and no hi-hat stand). But, the OP might have different needs and the $800 roland or $600 Prodigy might do. If he plays...

protools vs. DP vs. Logic Pro

Well, shit. I just checked, TC says they'll support intel Macs at an undisclosed time. Fuck. Fuck. FUCK That's another $1000 down the drain. Yeah, they'll update it eventually, but I have some projects that NEED to be done, and need better plugs than what came with Logic. Ah, god...

protools vs. DP vs. Logic Pro

I use Logic Pro 7.2 on a daily basis, and it's a LITTLE confusing, but once you get the hang of it you'll be producing shit in no time. It's great for MIDI, a little wonky for audio, but you can get a VST wrapper if you need, and most mac plugs are in AU format anyways. BUT BUT BUT, don't make...
