What do you think of the PodXT for home recording?

Can you post up samples using both emulators? (Pod and GT?).

What do you think of the PodXT for home recording?

That's just it. I can't record in the house with my Marshall, so I am relegated to the Pod. I am sorry some people don't understand that, it's just the best I can do given the circumstances. I am not trying to make any money at this. It's a hobby. Nothing more, nothing less.

What do you think of the PodXT for home recording?

Got a chance to fiddle with my PodXT today. I will try and lay some tracks on Sunday so yoooz guys can hear what it sounds like. The 5150 patch I found is sa-weeeeeeet!

What do you think of the PodXT for home recording?

Some are with songs, some without. I would track with my amp but even with a brake, I have only a 4x12 cab from a 100W 6100 head. I could not get the volume low enough to record without losing tone and I'd still wake the neighbors.

What do you think of the PodXT for home recording?

Line6 POD forums has some really good samples on their site. There's one that has some Mesuggah patches and 5150 patches that are just outstanding. I think getting good tone from a PodXT is more about how good you are with using it than the device itself. From what I have heard, the Pod will...

What do you think of the PodXT for home recording?

I disagree. It's called home recording because you just will never be able to record at home as well as in the studio. SOME people can make a professional studio at home, but those of us in an apartment or condo where the walls are thin are FORCED to use alternatives to record - like Pods. I...

    DMp3>RNC settings.

Can you guys tell me what settings you use for vocals and for instruments on the DMP3 and RNC. I'm using an Oktava Mark 319 for vocals. I know it's not the greatest but it works. For guitars I am using a new PodXT as I can't mic my amp in my apartment. Thanks.

What do you think of the PodXT for home recording?

Ronan, have you heard some of the patches for the PodXT on the line6 forums? I am not saying you are wrong because I too love the sound of a REAL amp, but you have to admit they don't sound THAT bad. I wouldn't put them on a studio album, but for demos and the like, they serve a good purpose...

Thanks to those that recommended the DMP3!

Man, thanks all of you! I just ran a couple of vocal tracks to test the DMP3 and my RNC and it sounds GREAT! You guys ROCK! Can you suggest the "normal" settings for vocals and guitar on the DMP3 and the RNC? I had to turn the gain all the way down on the RNC and I can tell it's not...

What do you think of the PodXT for home recording?

Are they solid state? If so, I would think the new PodXT Pro 2.0 could come pretty close. I wonder what it'd sound like mic's through a small cab. Otherwise, anyone know how loud an isolation box is?

What do you think of the PodXT for home recording?

Never said it could "replace" a tube amp, but the samples I've been hearing are pretty darn good.

What do you think of the PodXT for home recording?

For $299 I couldn't say no. Ideally I'd like to record with my Marhsall Stack, but since that's not an option in my apartment, I have to make due with the PodXT. Let's see how it works. Thanks for the forum advice. I'll check it out.

What do you think of the PodXT for home recording?

Is there a web site where I can find the most commonly used PodXT settings?

What do you think of the PodXT for home recording?

RPN? Me <-- Recording nOOb I will have to plug the PodXT in directly because if micing my cab was an option I would just use my Marshall 30th Anniversary head and my 1960 cab with vintage 30s instead.

Tip for recording Death Metal guitar on a Tascam 414, I discovered

Good band but will never hit it big in the US until the singer learns to SING and stop making that noise with his mouth that sounds like cookie monster. That'll never fly here. I agree though, In Flames, when they sing, has some killer stuff.
