    I like the FMR RNP.

I think I understand gain staging now

Vocals redone but still without room txs. Does it sound the same?

I think I understand gain staging now

Man you have great ears. It was recorded in a non treated bedroom. Any ideas on where a newbie can start research on room treatments? It has to be in a 5th grade vocabulary. :) Thanks for listening.

I think I understand gain staging now

The hiss on "Whatever it Takes" should be a lot less than previous recordings. Now I just need to fix the vox a bit. Let me know what you think. FYI - this recording is all acoustic plus vocals. Not the gain staging in pedals for electric guitar...

My acoustic version of a Bonnie Raitt classic

Thanks guys. About the hiss, I never could figure out whats causing that. Maybe its time I buy a new pair of SD condensers

    At4040 vs at3035

This is the most technically sound advice I have heard in a while. Diet coke came squirting out of my nose. :D :D :D

My acoustic version of a Bonnie Raitt classic

Haven't posted in a while. I don't know why but I really like Ms. Raitt's "I Cant Make You Love Me" so I took a stab at it. Lotsa background noise but I hear that in all my recording so I've given up on that. I'm obviously not the best guitar player out there but I enjoy playing and singing...

    Again...

+1,000 Sounds awesome! I echo the bass drum and cowbell suggestion above.

    Acoustic version of "Drive"

OK - new mix posted with less effects and patched up areas. Please let me know what you think. http://www.audiostreet.net/artist.aspx?artistid=8326

    Acoustic version of "Drive"

Thanks Rick, John Paul, Marcadiablo and Dreamer. The noise in the background is a combo of the fan on my AKAI DAW (it's there in all my recordings) or my 11 y.o. kid running around the house like he's supposed to. I need to fix that noisy fan or maybe its the hard drive. I'll also try to...

    Acoustic version of "Drive"

That bad, huh? I'll try to remix and get rid of some effects and the pitchy vocal parts.

    Acoustic version of "Drive"

Been a while since I posted. This is a very simple, stripped version of this Incubus song. I did experiment a bit with effects on the vocals and the lead guit. Feedback appreciated. I'm listening to it right now and am already identifying areas that need fixing. Thanks in advance...

    Reaching vocal limits

Exactly the honest kind of feedback I need. Thanks so much guys.

    Reaching vocal limits

Long time no post. Would highly appreciate a couple minutes of your time listening to the top song called "Here With Me." I tried my best to do this Mercy Me cover (acoustic version) and am now considering giving it up. I think the vocal demands are just too much for my limited range to handle...

Rode NTK? Haven't heard about these mics in a while.

    Tried the Heil PR20?

Was this more of an acoustic guitar and vocal applicaiton?

Rode NTK fan looking for a live vocal mic

Thanks kid. Would you consider the PR20 as a step up from the SM58?

Rode NTK fan looking for a live vocal mic

Need your suggestions on two mics: My bigger need is for quieter solo or duo acoustic applications. Condensor maybe? The Neumann is too expensive for me. I've read about the 535 and the e865s here in the forum but not a whole lot on a Rode condensor for live use. Doesn't need to be a Rode but...

    Another acoustic/vocal tune needing critique

I can't seem to make things work for some reason. I could've sworn it was there before we left the house to go see Rambo. Awesome movie by the way! Hold on I'll keep trying.
