58 is built better and sounds better than the b5. test them out and see for yourself. there's no such thing as a better mic? well..... when one consistently outperforms another, i consider it better.

holy shit, really?..... then this is looking better than i thought. so you guys are both saying 8 track which sounds fine to me because i almost had enough space with my 4-track. i have wasted so much time. i guess you have to use computers for a couple years before you get how crappy they are...

hey................. i'm completely sick of the problems with computer recording and i want to go all analog........ i want to spend maybe $1000 after i sell my computer and everything else. i have pretty good microphones, so can you please recomend how i break into a decent analog situation...

thanks for responding, but that's not quite what i meant...... i want to record the vst instrument *on the fly* in cooledit. i'd be playing FROM fruityloops, but recording TO cooledit, live. it's a usb keyboard, but there's also a standard midi jack.... if i set the record source to that midi...

i agree with scrubs. there's no moral dilemma here. you can charge as much as you want for a product. it's the buyer's responsibility to know if he's getting a good deal. buyer beware.
