Mackie Hui vs Makie Control Universal

I was about to buy the Mackie Hui when I found out it was discontinued and replaced by the Mackie Control Universal. But, I was deeply interested in some cool features that hui had like the 2 preamps and mic/line inputs, the monitoring direct control and other features that are not available on...

    Studio furniture (cheap)

Can anyone tell me what's the cheapest and coolest studio furniture in the moment? I saw RTA producer's kit por $500 and it looked damn good, but I have no idea whether it is a cool price or not. I've never been into studio furniture before.

    DFH & V-drums

Well, actually I'm selling my whole drumkit to buy the new TD-20, but I already got a buyer for it. :P Honestly, I think the cheapest Roland module should work fine (Roland TD-3) with DFH. I just used the close samples. Maybe I should use the room samples on the cymbals. If you wanna play live...

    DFH & V-drums

Well, I've been a Td-10 (Roland) user for some time, and quite honestly it did work for my "home-needs" but I always thought the samples (even after upgrading to the TDW-1) were kinda shitty. Recently (this week) I decided to try the TD-10 as a midi controler with the DFH samples. I built a...

    Building a "Behringer homestudio"

Yes, right now I do use V-drums and record everything direct, but shouldn't an 8 channel pre-amp unit be of use when you want to send 8 separate tracks from the v-drum module direct outs into the pc? And by buying this 8 chan pre-amp, shouldn't I get more versatility for further use in the future?

    Building a "Behringer homestudio"

Ok, thanx alot for helping. Please do advise me concerning the monitors and a good pre for low-cost or "near-behringer-cost". I've always heard that the new pair os active monitors from Behringer are quite decent. But, c'mon, give the alternatives.

    Building a "Behringer homestudio"

Ok, so lets move into another level here. Forget about Behringer, tell me what I should buy instead (please name models). Lets assume I'm just keeping the M-audio Delta 1010 and the computer.

    Building a "Behringer homestudio"

All of you got a point there. It just comes to my mind over and over again...is behringer THAT bad? I've been using Guitar V-amp PRO for some time and I find it really good. I do like it more than Line-6 PODs actually (and I'm not talking about price here, I was able to choose between both of...

    Building a "Behringer homestudio"

I'm not buying all at once, it looks too much, but apart from the mixer and monitors, I only buying one fx, one eq/dynamics, one tube dynamics and one tube enhancer processors. Its just four units in my processing rack, one for each need. And I'm not spending all THAT money. This is behringer...

    Building a "Behringer homestudio"

I know, I know, everytime the "behringer" name is pronounced, voices of rage are raised upon it. The problem is I'm a poor guy, and I'm building my humble homestudio (I had some gear for a while, now its time for "major" upgrade). So I suppose when you need good (not the best) audio solutions...

Nuendo 2.0 Vs Cubase SX 2.0 and DAWs

Well, three questions: 1 - I've been using Nuendo 2.0 for some time and I've always wondered what's the real difference between Nuendo 2.0 and Cubase Sx 2.0 and which is the best for home recording. 2 - I happen to have some stupid overloads on my pc that I really don't understand: I have one...

Could you explain to me what is RAID and what is S-ATA? Is it applyable to audio? I don't know shit about computers.

    Which Computer?

Upgrading time is at hand! First of all: Intel or Amd? If Intel: From 2.6 to 3.0, from FSB 533 to FSB 800...which option is really worth the price considering it is for audio use mainly and for some video apps (like playing dvds)? I'm not familiar with AMD but I've been told Intel is better.

Sonar + SBlive Platinium + XP + drivers = ?Setup?

Well, I'm a real sucker for configurations, drivers and tweaking computers. When I play back some tracks, they sound crispy and with some subtle noises. So my...

    Need opinions on my band

No. Actually I'm everything but the singer, since I recorded all instruments, but now that the band has full line-up I'm the drummer only. The encoding sucks ass. You can find "the real thing" (at 192kbps) on our website, but the samples are really small (1.30m or somthg). Thnx for your opinion...
