    USB Interface into iPad?

I'm curious if there would be a way to run my Lexicon Omega usb interface into my iPad2 for recording in Garageband.. Has anyone found a way to do something like this? If not I would at least like to find a way to record from a standard stereo mixer into the iPad. Thank you!

    Experience with iPad2 & Interfaces?

I received an iPad 2 for Christmas and I would like to try using it for recording. I've seen the iRig interface but it looks like it will only record a mono input like a guitar, keyboard, or mic. I'm wondering if there are any iPad2 compatible interfaces like the iRig or the iRig itself that...

I was under the impression that my PowerPc G4 cant go beyond 10.4.11... How about getting garageband projects out of garageband 3 and into logic or another program. Garageband 3 doesnt seem to have a way to export midi files or even save in the midi format...

7 Year Old iBook & Logic; Help.

My iBook is a 1.2ghz PowerPC G4 with 1.25gb of ram and is running Mac OSX 10.4.11. I'm wondering if anyone knows what version of Logic would be most up-to-date and compatible on this machine... It's probably damn old anyway, but I'm pinching pennies here. I'm hoping to find someone on eBay with...

I actually havent even plugged it in yet. EV & Blue

Not sure. I had won "best offers" for pretty low bids on both mics separately and then asked to combine the orders and the seller told me that if I took the deal completely off of that site and dealt with their company directly that I could get the two mics for $220. Sounds like a pretty good...

    EV & Blue

I'm going to be getting the Raven and Cardinal for $220 together, shipped from an online retailer that's going to make a deal with me after talking on a certain auction site that frowns against making purchases outside their site lol Seems like a pretty good deal to build my arsenal as well as...

    EV & Blue

I recently purchased the Blue Spark, haven't had the chance to use it on a session yet but plan to very soon, and I will be picking up the EV Cardinal and EV Raven in about a week. I know that EV and Blue worked together on these (at least that's what I've heard rumored from others) so I was...

    Opinions on TC Helicon C1?

Ive ran across the oppurtunity to pick up a TC Helicon C1 pedal for tuning live vocals but Im wondering how transparent the soft correction is for just mild reenforcement of pitch? Would it be unfavorable to use as a piece of outboard gear? Just want to hear some people weigh in.

I've yet to record any woodwind or brass instruments so I'll keep that in mind.

Ever resorted to a Sennheiser e609 for kick?

Let us know how it goes. The session that I had go well, the we had the outer head pulled off the kick and the kick was even scooted rather close to a wall. It created somewhat of its own cocoon for the kick and it cut through the mix really tight.

Ever resorted to a Sennheiser e609 for kick?

I was once working on a session where a kick drum mic just wasn't available and I resorted to putting a Sennheiser e609 on the kick, knowing It would get down around the 40hz range better than any of the other mics on hand. The result wasn't bad at all, and the e609 was really comfortable with...

Can't Decided Between These Mics =/

I'm in Phoenix, AZ. Are they talking about a mod for the Blue Spark or another mic? I've heard that the Blue can be a little spicy on the highs and mids just because their mics are very sensitive to detail. Does anyone recommend a mod to this mic? I have a set of MXL 991s and a 990 that I'm...

Looking for a cost effective XY stereo mic..

I'd like to find a decent, cost effective stereo mic for when I'm catching room ambiance. I like the fact that I wouldnt have to sit there and make sure I have two small diaphragm mics aimed in a perfect XY and could simply set up a stereo mic.. Any favorites out there?
