Has anyone ever experienced this? I recorded an acoustic player last night who was using a solid metal music stand. Listening to the tracks today I think I am detecting some comb filtering, and at times a "boxy" sound to the guitar. Is my mind playing tricks on me, or is this possible?

Any tips or techniques for minimizing fret buzz from electric guitars? I'm talking about occaisional buzz from not-so-clean chording. I know the best course of action is to re-record. But assuming that is not an option, is there anything I can do with EQ, etc. to make these tracks more useable?

What are the principle differences between these two materials in application and real world use? Any big advantages of one over the other?

I have a Michael Joly modded MK 319 that I am very pleased with. I have noticed that when using it anywhere on a drum kit it seems to pick up a lot of (nice) kick drum. Any cautions or reasons to be concerned about using this mic directly in front of the kick? SPL, blowing out the capsule, etc.?
