I just got a Zoom R16....recorded a band this weekend....I have 8 tracks and about 20 songs total....
Is tracks the right word to describe I have one track for guitar....another for bass...another track for singer...etc.etc...
Never done this before.....so....what do I do next...???

I local musician gave about 2 dozen cassette tapes to digitize and burn CD's....
I did one cassette and it came out very nice...

The Zoom is supposed to work with Cubase...but I just cannot figure Cubase out....I've gone thru videos...cubase help...forums etc...I can't do a dame thing in Cubase...

I picked up a Tascam DA-30 DAT...I have about a dozen DAT tapes I would like to convert to CD's...
I have a PC Win 7 with a M-Audio Audiophhle 2496 card...with SPDIF connections and normal analog connections...
My system works perfectly...I do a LOT of digitizing old R2R, casssette, LP's etc...
I'm starting an archiving project...maybe 100 DAT and Cassette recordings I will be transferring to CD...
I'm using MAM -A CD's...gold CD's a bit to expensive for this project...
Right now I'm using Roxio software and the CD burner is an OEM DVD burner...runs about 52x but I don't think it's...
I have a Motu PRE 8 interface I want to connect to my laptop...
The Motu uses Firewire out...
My laptop has USB2, HDMI, and eSata inputs...
Is there some way I can convert the Firewire to either USB, HDMI or eSata...???

I've got a problem as my Delta control panel is completely different...
I didn't put in a screen shot of the input tab as I don't have anything plugged into the input jacks at the moment....that screen is grayed out...
Do I need to go back to an older driver or something...

Installed 2496 audio card in PCI slot...Records just fine and I can hear audio when I play back...

Just getting into audio recording and I have a question...and I;m not sure how to phrase it...

I have a 16 channel mixer for the PA system in the club...
I want to record off that mixer but only 2 outs...left and right...
I understand there is a "box" that you can...
I'm going to digitize some LP's...
I need a phono preamp...
Should I get one with RIAA equilization built into the preamp...(easiest solution)
Or one without RIAA and use software to build the RIAA equilization
back into the recording...???...
Whichever way I go...should the preamp have a USB...
A local band asked me to digitize a R2R tape they had...about 35 years old...
So I pulled out my Panasonic 1020H...downloaded Audacity and went to work...
Came out with acceptable quality, wound up making a double CD...
Now they want me to do more...I have another 10" reel, 2 vinyl LP's to start...
