I friend sent me a recording in stereo with two channels on Track 1. I want to independently edit each channel. I highlighted one using CTRL+R, copied, and pasted into a new document, but I still got both channels (not sure if I'm using the correct terminology). How do separate them for editing?

Eeeek, I can't understand my SR-16 manual!! Is there an alternate one or a video out there that makes things clear? I like the machine because it doesn't drink as much beer as my old drummers!
