sup....recently it would appear that there is a lot of things majically appearing in our studio....black boxes & the like, the sort of thing I love to talk & discuss sometimes to the complete boredom of those around me. Anyway here's some of the things that have come to me recently (SACRED)...

I have a B77 revox. It runs at 7.5 or 15ips would it be possible to modify it to run at 15 or 30ips??? what would it entail & would it be worth it??? would I be better looking at another machine. Had my eye on an Otari MX55T but it got taken down from ebay I've recently started mastering to it...

YES indeedy after watching a DVD of the making of AJA & seeing the footage of the band playing tracks at the end I noticed that Bernard Purdie's toms had been mic'd underneath. I remember watching & think "oh look his toms are mic'd from underneath" & never trying it untill now & the difference...

yes aye got a Martin electric & it arrived with broken headstock. Since had it fixed with a new neck + existing fret board & WOW!!!! what a beast both electrically & acoustically dearmond style pickups made by rowe industries nice beasty mucho happy boing

it's a curiosity thing really I play Guitar, Hammond & vocals & occasionally drums & bass in The J. Fats Band---bluesy rock, heavilly experimentally jazz/fusion based with traces of anything going Lead guitar & vocals in Whisky---a function band doing weddings & parties etc etc...

anybody know anything about these babies???? can hardly find anything online & can find no reference to any sort of price for them at all any help would be boingfully appreciated boing

it's an artform in itself, to be able to produce a sound as instantly as possible. I like it myself, keeps me on my toes & tests my abilities to successfully use compression. It's good fun anyway I'm aware from seeing other people mix (both good & bad) that everybody has their own take on how...
