I tried the "recorderman" method. I used the Audio-Technica mikes. I turned the levels on my interface down to zero, and the drum track still clipped out. Any suggestions? ps - Only one of them has a -10db pad. I'm sure that would have solved it for that mic.

My computer is far inferior to that, and I've recorded many projects with Cool Edit Pro and Sonar LE. Right now I'm working on a 12ish track mix of my band. Just look at the system requirements for whatever software you want to use.
