I have a setup where I can control my DAW remotely using a wireless laptop. For some reason, I can not bring the audio from Sonar 5 to the laptop. Audio from other apps like WinAmp comes over fine. Any ideas? WinXP pro Sonar 5 producer M-Audio delta66 / OmniStudio

Thanks for the suggestion. Although I did something a little different, it helped me find the solution. I found a setting in the Audio to MIDI application that allows me to set the bpm of the midi file...just set it to match Sonar before saving and importing. Perfect sync. :)

Here's the scenario...I have a piece of stand alone software that converts audio clips to MIDI files. I want to then bring the MIDI sequence back into Sonar3 and have it play along in sync with the original audio clip. Here's the dilemma...the MIDI sequence is slower/longer when imported into...

hmmm... alright so if I used the Omni's preamp for the turntable, the EQ would be incorrect... and tapes should transfer fine with no pre-amping. thanks guys! :)

Hi, I'm currently working on transferring tapes and records to CD. The output levels of the tape and record players are pretty low. Is it ok to boost them with a mic/ instrument preamp? I have heard different opinions on this. I'm using a M-Audio Omni Studio interface which has 2 preamps...

I'm using AudioSpace - a little stand alone utility that lets you audition samples from different folders. It's nice being able to browse through your sounds from one place. There's a slight problem though... whenever I have a DXi patched to Sonar's Fx channel, AudioSpace won't play the sounds...

What I have been doing is editing my wave in CEP, then using Cakewalk Pyro to set track markers and burn to CD. You can easily do the 0 gap times. It's a great program for the money - around $30. It gives you a graphic of the wave form too, where as a lot of inexpensive CD writing programs...

I've been trying to figure that one out too. What's the purpose of those track markers? If you can't split the wave into seperate tracks and write to CD, then why are they there?

Hey cool people, I noticed in CEP that there is a way to insert CD track markers at points along the time line. How do these function differently than inserting a cue point? As far as I know you can't burn a CD directly from CEP. Also, when I open the file in my burning program (Cakewalk Pyro)...

Alright - I'm in business now. Last night I was able to run smoothly at 4.0 ms. Man, what difference when monitoring the guitar with real time effects, and playing synths on the keyboard! I ended up having to move the Delta 66 to a different PCI slot so that it could have its own IRQ address...
