Well, my band (broken daylight) finally finished recording our album in such exotic locations as my living room, our drummers garage, and our guitarists bedroom!! I know there were people on here who wanted to have a listen, so i've stuck the first 5 tracks of 13 here...

Hi there I've posted a couple of times asking people for tips on mixes of some of our songs. i got quite close to what I wanted but not quite there! Well, now our drummer has taken over duties and seems to have done a far better job!! If you like you can take alisten to the stuff here...

Thanks for the tips there. I might try stripping out the double tracking and see what I get. I just got hold of a guitarport as well, so I might give that a whirl! I guess it's a force of habit i've got into with double tracking, to try and beef up crummy tracks!! Participant- yeah, that's me...

Hello I've recently recorded some songs with my band, which I am relatively happy with, apart from the guitars. Basically I am using 4 tracks of guitars at any one time, and the results are mushy and lack definition. I have no experience of recording/mixing techniques, so if anyone who knows...

Thanks for the tips there W.I.S.C. Asphyxiate was recorded in a different session, so we are going to re-record it - you can't polish a turd after all!! We had to put a fade out as our drummer cocked up the ending. Damn that drummer!! Cheers Jon
