    I'm using an out board micpre into a 2816. Do I turn the 2816's input knobs completely counter clockwise? I was told this is the correct way. IS it? Thank you

    unwanted clipping/dbx386

    I have a dbx 386 mic pre. Strummed chords on acoustic guitar tend to distort a bit if I'm not really careful. Would a compressor/ limiter hooked up to the 386 help this? If so, any recommended models? Is there anything else I should know?

    Yamaha 2816 /mic problem

    I just bought a Yamaha2816. Any mic I connect to the mic inputs sounds incredibly weak. Yes, I turned the phantom power on for the condenser mic. What am I missing? I am very new at this. Please help!
