Yam2816 question

Yo John L.:]

I'm not really sure about the clicks...since I don't use a click track.

However, I might guess that if you don't push record for two measures, your idea might work.

But, alas, why guess? If you pose the question to a Yamaha techie on the net, you will get an answer within a few days. I've done that and have received some clear responses.

Maybe Burgunday Band knows the answer since they also use a 2816 or a 4416.

Hey GH
Thanks again!
I took your advice and contacted Yamaha. They answered that question about taking tracks from a BR8, too.

Just in case you're interested, here's their response.......

Hello John,
The AW2816 can import WAV files, CD AUDIO so if BR8 exports to CD wave files or makes a Audio CD either one can be used on 2816 to import to tracks (track button).
No, you will have to count out the two measures and start recording at measure 3.
Best regards,
TA

Yo John G:

Thanks for the information. I'm always interested in learning. I know the 2816 I use is capable of doing a whole bunch of things I've not yet tried -- but, that's why I keep pushing its buttons.
