Fender has a lot of subsidiaries - Guild, Gretsch, SWR, Jackson, Tacoma, etc. Fender amps are also the most popular amps our there, Strats are the most popular guitar, and Fender has a much more comprehensive line of basses.
I had an epiphone les paul for a while, but I was pretty disappointed with the sound of it. I have found that most epiphones are like this, mainly because of the terrible stock pickups.
I would suggest getting a copy. If you are thinking about getting an epiphone just because it is made by...
I agree on both counts. I am not against metal either, but its really all I ever see on this board, and it gets pretty frustrating after a while if you aren't a metalhead. And you're right there are loads of sources on those bands listed plus a few (I don't know if anyone frequents guitar geek...
would there be any difference between putting compression on all seperate tracks, than compressing it as a group track? like i know for modulation and other such things it would be different. but would the compression sound any different?
you can set it up for one of the tracks and then copy and paste the settings of the track (providing you want all of the settings for the tracks to be identical). this can be done when you are looking at the mixer window. you select one of the tracks, use the copy button (on the left side of thw...
I'm thinking about getting a Mexi strat and then replacing the stock pickups with some vintage sounding ones.

I am pretty inexperienced in mixing, so I don't have anything to say other than it sounds really cool. This kind of stuff is right up my alley. Can't wait to hear the finished product.
I am looking into getting one of these (probably the Alphatrack) because I am sick of having to use my mouse all the time for mixing, etc.
Just wondering if anyone has used them and ALSO if they would work with cubase SE. I have a funny feeling they might not work on cubase earlier than 3...
The chain is Fender Mexican Stratocaster -> Dunlop Crybaby -> Boss OD-3 -> Electroharmonix wiggler -> Danelectro Fab Echo -> Fender Frontman 25 watt amp.
I should have said it is mainly the neck pickup that buzzes. I have tried lowering it, it helped a bit, but the buzz is still obvious.
I need to get some sort of noise suppressor for my strat; the neck pickup hums a lot. Just wondering what would be the best for $200 or less.
I am trying to decide between the Boss NS-2, the MXR Smart Gate and the Electro-harmonix Hum Debugger. Any opinions on these pedals? Any other...
