    snare drum mic'ing

    hey all! Just wondering if anyone else finds that mic'in UNDERNEATH the snare works better for them? I find that it picks up the snares better and when i mic on top of the drum it sounds too-much like a tom. I use a sm57 btw! :p

    Turn my hi-fi into monitors?

    yeh. At the moment ive got my hifi plugged into my headphone input, because it gives both sides. I want to put it in the monitor inputs (i.e. 2 jacks left and right) and wondering if i can do this with what seems only 1 lead from my hi-fi. I can only get a side, because i have to choose either/or!
