Is there an accepted/workable way to keep hard dics quiet? I've just got a hard disc recorder that isn't exactly noisy - and with directional mics I don't suspect i would be heard - but I'm just concerned that on a live gig, people don't get distracted by it...Maybe they wouldn't hear it? I...

I've just opened mine, and the machine seems relatively noisy...although presumably with directional mics, and the recorder out of 'earshot' of these mics, nothing would show up? Are there any tricks for keeping something like this a little quieter, say if it were onstage at a (concert, rather...

I'm not sure if this is a stupid question or not ;) I would like to get a stereo bar for recording X/Y with two condenser mics I have. I believe for this technique, I need the mics placed one above the other. However, from the online pictures I can find, it is not obvious that the bars...

Sorry...a really dumb question coming up... If I were to buy a product from a US store (probably Computer Audio in this case), would it work in the UK? The plug would presumably be a problem, but would the thing work with an adapter? What I want to pick up is a Fostex hard disc recorder, FWIW...

Unfortunately I'm in the UK, so it'll set me back a little more than that - which is why I'm now seriously thinking about the MR8-HD. Just trying to understand how to get data onto a PC...do I need to buy anything extra for my PC?
