Faster Master

I checked it out - for cookie cutter mastering - which most people want - I think its fine - it really shines
on full range mixes that don’t have any issues -

I watched the video, looks interesting. Hopefully they have a trial period so you can try it out. The video wasn't clear on if this is a plugin you put on your master track, or a stand alone app like Ozone. I didn't see any type of instructions on the website.

After poking around the install section, I see you have a 15 day trial period. I will have to check it out.

It’s a plugin that you insert on the Master Buss - there is a trial version - The URL takes you to Plugin Boutique - Sign In - and there is a tiny ‘Trial’ button at the lower right.
After trying it a little longer I'll don’t like it very much - it doesn’t do well when you don’t have dense music that has a lot of parts - if you have a simple song it doesn’t come close.

BTW When you down load the trial it also bogs you down with 14 other plugins - I was miffed about that - I’ve since deleted it and all the rest.

There is a menu during install on what plugins you want to install. I removed all but the Faster Master VST3 and didn't get any bloat.

I do think it is cookie cutter, but the one thing I have found it seems to complement the mix. If you want artistic mastering, which the artistic part should be in the mixing, then this isn't the product for you. If you want a clean, non-fussy final product, to me it is worth the $57. So far I really like it, seems to do a pretty decent job and can assist in getting better mixes.

I realize that - but it still irritates me with all the bloat - I’m on a Mac - and it tries to install VSTs and AAX - and you have to tell it not too - personally I think the guys after something else - I looked around for snoop ware - but didn’t see it - but there is something going on.

You mean adds some to the Mix process? For me if I want to AI type master I’d rather use Ozone.

Interesting. Is it possible for you to post a couple examples for us to compare the job that it does?

Let me post the last song I put up on the board and then a newer version with this plugin. Posted in MP3 Clinic

I have heard good things about Ozone, I don't have it and for what they are charging for the FM Plugin, I think it might just be what I need. I was just sharing what I found, nothing more.
