There is a menu during install on what plugins you want to install. I removed all but the Faster Master VST3 and didn't get any bloat.
I do think it is cookie cutter, but the one thing I have found it seems to complement the mix. If you want artistic mastering, which the artistic part should be in the mixing, then this isn't the product for you. If you want a clean, non-fussy final product, to me it is worth the $57. So far I really like it, seems to do a pretty decent job and can assist in getting better mixes.
