Full of green dust
On my end, the official Cakewalk forum keeps kicking me off and I can't get in...

I've been recording with Sonar 7 SE for years on an old XP machine but want to use some 64 bit effects plugins while mixing on a different computer. Does Cakewalk by Bandlab allow for us to import our own VST plugins?

I recently created a CbB account and imported some tracks into the studio and cannot for the life of me figure out how to get my own plugins to populate in the FX menu.

Thanks!

Yes it does. Go to the plug-in manager & scan the folders where you keep yr plug-ins.
Hi, thank you for replying. I figured out what the problem was. I had gone to Bandlab's website, created an account, and opened their Cakewalk Studio app. If you try to mix a song on their online app, you can only use their plugins. No way to insert your own. Once I realized what a knucklehead I am, I downloaded CbB to my computer. You are correct, the DAW software scans your machine's folders and the effects populate in the plug in manager.

Just got off a long weekend at work so hadn't taken time to update this thread.

This is the newest Cakewalk Forum. You may be on one of the old ones.
Thank you. Yeh, the forum has been sending 500/502/504 error screens periodically throughout the day for several days last week. If you check the Feedback Loop, which discusses the forum itself, there are a couple of threads of people raising the alarm and wanting to know why the site keeps crashing.
