Tascam US 4x4 HR with 4 line-outs. The line-outs 1 and 2 are working perfect, but when I connect mu active speakers to 3 and 4, then the sound way too loud and can't be put down, not on the device and not in the Settings Panel (version 4.00)

Latest driver, Windows 11, Panel version 4.00

Don't your active speakers have volume controls - they're usually on the back, but may be on the front. Could also be a Monitor setting in the US-4x4 HR's Settings Panel. Try changing 3-4 to Monitor Mix to match the 1-2 Monitor Mix setting.

Yes there are volume controls and they are great for 1 and 2. And in the settings panel both have monitor mix.

What happens when you turn the volume down on the back of the speakers?

The volume goes down. But I want to control the volume using my Tascam. And that is not working. It’s only very loud and a bit distorted and can’t be controlled using the volume button. I want to connect my active speakers on line-out 1 & 2 and my sub on line-out 3 & 4 and use the volume button on the Tascam to control the volume after I have set the volumes on my speakers.

Yeah. I think you're stuck there. From what I can see, this interface has it's 1-4 output volumes fixed with no individual faders in the software settings panel. My old US-2x2 at least had output faders in the Custom Settings Panel, which I kept at 100%.

Thank you.
I am in contact with support-dept from Teac, maybe they know something. I am sure it's a driver issue.
There's no real problem, cause Line1&2 work great. It's just that I can't connect and test my sub. Not a bigga deal
