Dude, I can't wait until that thing gets here.....I've been checking the order status every 5 mins all day, & it's finally shipped. Haven't checked the tracking info, but just guessing, it'll be here Wed....

Here's a couple pics of my Lester when I first got it:





While it's still a great little guitar, it doesn't shine like the nitro finishes have...

Nothing wrong with those two hanging systems....but if you want to keep the price down AND have more flexibility on how you want to space them....just get some String Swing hangers. I've got all my guitars on them, and they work great.

In that second pic....that room must be at least 10' high...if you did that double layer in a typical 8' room...that second row would be down at your feet.



Here's my wall shot with the String Swing hangers....these are the 30 degree angled hangers (I'm pretty sure).

I've always loved that finish. I almost bought a Studio a couple of years back with it, except it had gold hardware for some reason and even new, hanging in the shop, you could see that it was going be a PITA.

I pulled an MP4 into it by the Insert media process.
It was fine
FLV it doesn't support
MVF It doesn't seem to recognise
WMV - I didn't bother.Seems MP4 is the preferred format at least in a PC running W7.
I already have VLC media player & codecs so assume they're recognized already.
Re MP4 - Muting the track caused it to go black.
I had to go into automation & pull the audio to 0.
That worked a treat.

Wow dude, that's pretty generous of ya dude....Can't really turn an offer like that down, but I can offer to pay the shipping, or even just buy 'em off you.....You guys here sure are good to me...:).


Miro: I was just commenting on that rail system looking nicer than the diamond plate/metal stuff....Even if I had that many guitars, I probably wouldn't do the double-layer/high/low thing like that...

When the SG gets here, I'll have a grand total of 7, including my bass & acoustic....Nice room btw....


Armistice: Yeah, it's a nice guitar, it just doesn't shine like the nitro finished guitars do....Honestly, it's a PITA to keep any guitar looking clean (for me anyway), unless you keep 'em in their cases, which is where all except my Ibby is right now...I generally don't worry about that though, I'm pretty much a slob...:D.

V30s are a 100db speaker. For guitar specific speakers, watt-for-watt they're one of the loudest there is.

Made a massive difference. Just had one of them evenings. Played my guitar for half hour, just did one take recording the V30, so I'll post it up at some point tomorrow. Then a mate turned up and dragged me to the cinema to see Deadpool and have a couple of beers which was a laugh to be fair.

Surf is pumping all day tomorrow too so I'll probably have a busy day!
 
Look at the guitars Best Buy is carrying.

I actually got my Gibson SG from them a few months ago for $349. It's now at $179. I'm tempted to buy another 2 or 3, I can probably turn them over for twice the price at some time.

Actually, I can't remember if that's what I paid for it. I bought a few guitars last year, can't remember what I paid for which. But either way, I think $179 for that Gibson is a great price.

If you'd use them, then they're yours! Sold, for $0.00 :D I can't imagine that shipping would be very much at all. Of course, last time I shipped something, there was a weird "area surcharge" added on. So maybe they add a premium for delivering to the back end of nowhere :) I'll go dig them out of storage, and see if I can mail them off Monday. Just shoot me an address.
