It makes me think of a finely knit sweater sold at a discount because it has a tiny red dot on it.

Ah, funny. It's actually the only song that doesn't have any silence before it.

Have they said it's their least favorite tune? I would think it would be "4 Sticks" because there was something about them not including it on a re-issue of IV or something.

I read that Jimmy Page said they wrote and recorded it as a filler and they never played it again, ever. It gained popularity by being jammed up against the end of Heartbreaker and DJs couldn't segue out of it, so they just let them run together, sort of like "We Will Rock You" and "We Are the Champions"..

That's pretty cool. I think it's a great song. Way better than Heart fucking Breaker.

I actually like the cocked wah sound, it adds a cool character and contrast. Rhythm guitars sound good to me. The bass seems to pick up right where the guitar leave off in the low mids. I could see how too much of the wah sound would be overbearing, but I think that it adds a cool contrast. Nice riff too man.
 
Here's a scary proposition: me on camera. Just for you guys. I was inspired by RAMI's drum video. The big difference is that I don't have mad skills to show off, just some cool equipment :)

Sorry about the autofocus weirdness, it's my first video with a brand new camera. I'll have to figure that shit out.

Oh, and even though it sounded wildly hi-gain and saturated to me in the room, and I even mention it in the video, now that I listen back to it I think it's a pretty fucking cool tone. Maybe a little too saturated, but not much. Thanks for pushing me to use the hi-input Greg...

I said fuck it, & pulled the trigger...:).
Can't wait....should be here around the middle of next week I'm guessing, probably Tuesday or Wednesday...:D.

I didn't plunk the whole amount down, ain't got that much $$$ right now, so I got it on the "pay as you play" thing, & will pay it off when the "main" $$$ hits here in a few weeks....I just couldn't wait, so I suppose this could be my "retirement" present to myself for working my ass off for 25+ years....

The tone....I think it's great. That sounds like they're supposed to sound. Classic Marshall goodness. You got it figured out. The high input is where the magic happens. That LP is bad ass too.

Man I wish I knew how to make a video. That shit's like Chinese to me. I don't even know where to begin.

Hahaha, thanks man. Fortunately, while seated, a Les Paul obscures a beer belly pretty well! I was always the scrawny wire-y kid. The slower metabolism of adulthood put an end to that. Plus the camera adds 10 lbs. And so do the chili dogs. And rum & cokes. And general lethargy. :D

When I saw your drum video, I was like damn, RAMI is friggin ripped. Your singing voice reminds me so much of my friend's older brother, that I started to project his image onto you. He's balding and waaaay overweight. But I'd at least pieced together enough from your posts around here about your gym participation that I didn't really think that you were a 55 year old fatso. But it was still a shock to see actual RAMI instead of mental image RAMI :D
