Great performance man! Listening on headphones, everything sounds good and well balanced. The kick hits a little hard for me though, that's the only thing that stood out.

Yo, that's really bad ass man. You're getting down for sure on this one. Sounds good, I like it :D

Nice job Jimi! Blues is really your genre. Is this a cover?

Anyway, the kick seems a bit too pronounced. Other than that, no nits...

Yes, it's a cover...an old Elvis Presley song. His version is quite different though.
Im gonna tone down the bass drum some and repost. Thanks for listening and posting brother!

thanks easlern. I'm gonna tone down the bass drum. I just have to figure out whether i do that with eq or volune level.
I appreciate the listen and your comments!

Oh, I'm loving this. I like the tone on the lead guitar.

Nice job, I enjoyed it. I will listen to this quite a few times during this christmas season.

Real cool song. I enjoyed it. Elvis did this way back when didn't he?

Thanks Track Rat. Actually, I kind of half assed setting the amp and the mic placement on the lead guitar, because I tracked everything in one night. It was the last thing I tracked. I ended up with the performance I wanted, but I thought the tone ended up being a little too honky in the midrange. I have heard blues records with this tone before though. I tried eq'ing it out but its just the sound I had coming out of the amp. So, i took the EQ off and was thinking about retracking it.

Maybe its OK though...if you like it. Your guitar sounds have always been stellar IMO.
Thanks bro!

Thanks M. Yeah, its an old Elvis song....I think it was probaly an even older blues song that he did a cover of.

Very nice Jimi. Sounds like it could sit straight into the Blues Brother's soundtrack and be an old classic.

Loved it. No complants, it is what it is. :thumbs up:

I listen to almost everyone's music here, but I don't comment on it if it's not something I like or can't be of help with lol. If it's so gawd awful that it's funny I might make a comment for shits lol.

I get the Blue Brothers comment...this sounds like its lifted off a soundtrack, great performance and mix

I dont do christmas or the blues, but if I did this'd be my anthem ;)

Square rooms can rock too, just need a good ear, IMO :thumbs up:

Isn't it. I could almost see Jake & Elwood strutting around while singing this one.

Thanks kc. I had a blast recording this. I really appreciate you listening and posting!
Merry Christmas!

Great singing as usual, Jimi. The guitar sounds good, muffled in places. Something is not quite tight between the bass and kick drum. It sounds right for the most part, but once in a while I hear a glitch in timing, for example right between 2:01 and 2:02.

I'm gonna blame that on my sloppy bass playing...
or of course it could have been my sloppy drumming.
lol
I noticed it too. I havent done much editing on this Robus. It was pretty rushed, but you're right there are a couple of spots that could use tightening up.
Thanks for paying attention the the details!
