Best tambourine ?

Hi, I got Pro tools 10 and I'm searching for a good RTAS with a nice tambourine sound. And EASY to create rythmic. Or maybe a tutorial or some help how to do it ?

I got Superior Drummer, Addictive Drummer, Nexus 2, Battery 4, Atmosphere.....and more.

If you're looking for new plugs you may as well shop AAX.
You could buy and RTAS now then later find out there's no AAX version available when/if you jump to PT11 or newer where RTAS aren't supported.

Sorry, I don't know of any with particularly good tamb VIs.
I take it you've been through the patches in xpand?

When I found a good sound the problem is to make a good rhythmic with it after.
 
I spent a nearly an hour one day searching through tambourine loops and samples, and different kit pieces in Logic's Drum Kit. Then I remembered I own a tambourine, and a microphone. Sounds like a tambourine, and with the ultimate rhythmic control!

You could just get a tambourine...might be the easiest/best way to go, unless you can't play a tambourine. :)
 
You might find close to a condenser mic doesn't work too well. The best recording I've done of tambourine is sitting a few feet away, facing away from the mic. That was in a well-treated room, mind.
 
Yeah, my first couple experiments with recording tambourine close up and then a little away from the mike didn't turn out so well. Thanks Deep for the idea of turning away from the mike. I'm going to try that.

It's really not as easy as it seems. Guitar was straight forward. Voice is straight forward. Tambourine is anything but...straight forward turned out over dynamic. :) Also, like any cymbal, don't forget to clean up the jingles (little cymbal bits). Mine sounds a whole lot better after a little soapy water. :D
