Need help with home rehearsal/recording setup

Hi guys! I need to setup a home rehearsal system with headphones output. This is a scheme of what I came up with so far. Please tell me if I'm missing anything or if there are better alternatives to some of the gear in the photo. Thanks!

That setup looks good enough for rehearsal but you may want to read through this thread regarding how the mixer and the computer will interface for recording. Are you running preamp out from the amps to the mixer or are they going to be mic'd up?

I heard the amps will sound better if you mic them but I was looking for a more silent solution. Is there any way I can have the same sound quality of the amps without mics? And if not, what mic do you think will best capture the vox sound?

If you already own an SM58, try that first. It's an SM57, many people's go to cabinet mic, with a different end on it, basically.

The Vox C2 has an FX out* so that can feed the mixer and you should be able to set the speaker level to anything from nowt to mayhem.

Similarly the Marshall, that has an "emulated" output and should again allow silent practice.

For sure the Vox will sound better micc'ed up and running pretty loudly (the bass is probably best DI'ed? Whole thread on that elsewhere!) but running a loudish guitar amp is going to be problematic with live mics? Depends whether you just want a practice set up or a really "nit picky" recording.

And on the theme of K.I.S.Sir, do you really need the mic pre amps? (technically of course you don't. The Yammy's pres are well able).

*I foresee some earth loop issues. Be prepared to snip some signal shields!

Ok, you have 5 maybe 6 devices in that diagram that will have a mains earth. When you connect the guitar amps to the mixer you will create a second earth, this could result in some extra hum.

The first fix is to ensure that EVERYTHING is powered from the same mains outlet. Plug (say) two 4 way diss strips into a double 13A outlet then connect all mains plugs to that. With luck and a fair wind you won't have hum loop issues.

If you do try cutting the shield connection on the amp-mixer cables ONE end only per lead.
