what all hardware do l need to record tv shows to dvd's. I have time warner cable.
l bought a haupage dvr recorder to record to my laptop and then burn a dcd from it to watch on my blueray player. The blueray player won't record.
What do l need to hookup between my tv and the dvr.
when l record to the laptop, can i use a stick to record to.
As you can tell l am pretty illiterate when it comes to this stuff, so l appreciate any help you guys can give me.
Thanks again

Welcome, George. You may be asking the wrong crowd. This forum is for musicians who record their own music. Somebody here may know the answer about your DVR, but we don't keep up with that sort of thing as a general rule. :)

The Dave Van Ronk ? :)

Just guessing, but I'm guessing you need a DVD Recorder ... :drunk:

Isn't a DVR one of those Tivo-like doohickeys?

It isn't hi res, but I recently bought one of THESE, to make a digital copy of an old 1980's video tape for a friend. Worked. That is all...

thanks for trying. l have a dvr but the manufacturer says l need a something to get output from. Something like a blueray player that records. l tried hhgregg but they said they don't sell them.
