Longest recorded guitar solo?

The one my kid played 6 years ago. It was like two years long.....
 
Another rule is that it should be strictly "in the box" ie. pentatonic... nothing modal or chromatic happening... just to make it extra enjoyable... ;)

Shine on You Crazy Diamond would be my guess. The longest solo that I've personally witnessed was at an Outlaws concert back in the 70s. They played "Green Grass And High Tides" for like 25 minutes.
 
Some guesses:

Alvin Lee - I'm going home
Foghat - Slow Ride
Buddy Guy mighta did it on an early live album.
 
Most of the jazz guys have at least one album where they don't stop noodling throughout the whole thing so whatever you come up with you will be wrong...:thumbs up:
