Is that a Studiomaster Mixdown in the first picture? I've had one for years and like the sound although the controls are a bit stiff compared to something more expensive.

One suggestion - it might help if you could move your speakers to the right so that the left speaker is away from the corner. At the moment the left bass will be boosted thanks to the effects of putting a speaker in the corner.

James.

nice! but do you like having the computer to the side like that? in a smallish space I would always much prefer having it up on the top in between the monitors

Yikes, I wonder what the monitors in that position are sounding like?

I suggest getting them off that wood block (the sound vibrates through the wood and colors the sound) and also de-coupling them by sitting them a top of some open cell foam. The speaker-in-the-corner thing can also cause issues, but I guess you weren't looking for advice so I'll shut up now.

Nice board and record collection!

Well, looking for it or not..I have to agree. Worst possible place for monitoring. First, because the left speaker is directly adjacent to a boundary. That alone will smear the stereo image from SBIR..among other things.
SBIR - Speaker Boundary Interference Response

At the minimum,I would suggest centering your setup on the short wall, along the long room axis and spread your monitors to form an equilateral triangle between the monitors and listening position. You will be amazed. Once you have that, you may want to research acoustic treatment.

Agree.
Move your desk so speakers are firing down the length of the room.
Then make sure desk is centered on the wall if at all possible.

Acoustic Treatment: Left Wall

Acoustic Treatment: Rear Wall-each of the 3-Panels is at a different depth away from the wall.

Hi Guys,,,,thanks all your feedback, wasnt especially looking for advice, but now you've all mentioned it i do appreciate all the input and suggestions:).....Will try and have a re=working of the room at some point, but i am fairly limited to space. Will definitely try to address the monitor issue at the very least asap tho!
And James, yes , it is a studiomaster!...(mixdown 16/8bus) , love the analogue warmth of it even tho the gains are a bit noisy!
Thanks again for all your input:)

I had the same mixer..but the 20 channel. Loved it.. Had all the bells and whistles. Unfortunately, I sold it to upgrade to an M3700.
