Hey guys so my band just released our first music video and we wanted some feedback from people we didn't really know so I thought I'd post here to ask you all! Worked for me. Enjoyed the video and the song. I think for a song with photography references, the video should really hit the mark with good shooting, lighting and story telling. The shooting and lighting are superb. The location on the coast is great and you took advantage of the beautiful lighting from a sunset. Cool!!

I really thought the video was going to go somewhere with the intro. It's a great way to start a song, but it kind of stopped right there. After the typewriter in the field, you switched to the coast scene and no more story line. A few still frames of photographs with the Ken Burns Effect showing the memories of two lives living together would have really pulled this off. Mix those in with the band shots and you've got a full story that works with the song.

Nonetheless, great song, great video. It shows a lot of work was put into it. Thanks for sharing it with us.
 
That was actually the plan...we were going to include photographs and a small clip of a couple taking old photographs together on a beach but it didn't end up making the cut for a few different reasons. I'm glad you enjoyed it, though!
 
If anyone cares, the Firefox update screwed with 'AdBlocker', thus disabling most video playback. Uninstalling ADBlock, then reinstalling, fixes the issue. :)

Now, on to listening. :)

WTF? Who made that decision, to remove the story line?

Oh well. It's still a nice (pretty) video, but now you know we feel that the original idea would have made it a great video.

Sorry, man. Just being honest.

Yup, sunrise. Who the hell would wake up that early to shoot video???? ugh... :yawn:
 
Great shoots, location and camera. And a great song. Overall I really like this. The only thing I can critique on is that intro is a little to long and then doesn't fit in with the rest of the video. But I saw you post that some of the shots didn't happen and that's why. It still doesn't spoil it :)
