I had a gig recorded live last week and given to me on USB in Cubase SX Version 3.0.2. I now want to load it onto my Cubase Essential version 4.5.2 so I can do something with it. Any way to do this?

well even if it wont load because of the file type or backwards/forwards compatability
you must have all the audio still in the accompanying file which you should be able to import into a new project in essential.
There will be a way, maybe a better easier way than i've described and i'm sure some one will be along soon and advise you

Nope. Essentials will not open a SX file.
The only thing you can do is ask someone with the full version if cubase to export the tracks so you can import into essentials.
