Hey guys. I'm looking for ideas on how to build a portable sound booth for recording. As things stand right now my computer makes too much noise and it would be too much to make it quiet and still capable of handling everything else I need the computer for. So here is the thing: I'm on a budget but its flexible and the booth needs to be able to be torn down and rebuilt in a way that I can take it down when I am not doing vocals. I need to be able to move it from one room to another. Any suggestions :guitar: ?

THANKS

Hello..Have you thought about trying to swap out the fans in there for quieter fans..?..There are fans made now just for this purpose...Good luck..

Yes, build a smaller one and put your computer into it, not yourself.

Yeah thats a good idea. I'm just wondering where to start because I have never built one and how much should I be thinking I am going to spend

I would submerge the computer in water to isolate the noise.

Do switch out the fans that snatchman suggested and your iso booth for your computer won't have to be so complex. Could then be as simple as a Rubbermaid trash can and a blanket or pillows that an be set up for only recording then put away for gaming... :guitar:

Sweet thanks. I'll probably get on ordering the fans this week
