Need potentiometers.

Hi all,

Could someone point me in the right direction for potentiometers.

They're for preamp gain,
10k
1 turn or 3/4 turn
Linear
12mm bushing. (threaded part?)


I tried a 5k pot from a boss fx pedal, mainly to check for size.
As it turns out, the threaded part of the shaft on those is about 6mm, as are pretty much all pots that i can find on ebay.
This is the problem.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for 'standard potentiometers' but with a deeper threaded part?

I've got no time to research at the mo, but you might do well with pots made for solid-body arch-top guitars (Les Pauls, for instance.)

At a glance, i can find ones that'll physically fit, but they all seem to be 50k,250k,500k etc.

I'll keep searching.



Does anyone know if it matters? using a much higher rating of pot?
