If you could add one thing to your studio...

Just wondering, I am nearing completion of my home studio, which consists of a 6X12 control room, 18X12 Live room ,and a 6X7 isolation room. I will be posting pictures soon. Here's the question: If you had it to do over again, what would you add or take away? Thanks in advance.
 
I would have got into proper room treatment a lot earlier in the process. Also, I wouldn't have tried to break up a big room into smaller ones. Now, I do everything in one big room with treatment and the improvement is much greater than any piece of equipment would have given me.
 
having movable, sound proof see-through partitions so that I could isolated specific instruments while recording live would be cool.

Good call. Treatment is very important...
 
I would say a DIY preamp project, as my ART MPA Gold doesn't have quite the 'mojo' as other preamps
 
Talent.... I'd add more talent. Everything else is complete.

Hi... I'm New To This Site... But NOT new to Recording.... Right now I think I'd Have To Say That An AVALON Mic Pre would be here NOW.... And not on a "to get" list.... IMHO The Avalon for me... has become a MUST HAVE Item.
 
I would want a hydroponic garden and some money tree seeds :)

Why DO you SAY That...ABOUT the Avalon...HAVE YOU used one Before...Or is IT SOMETHING you Just Think...Would BE GOOD because of THE hype?

Maybe there's something wrong with his computer keyboard....it's the strangest use of lower/uppercase I've ever seen. :)

YES I have used them.... & IMHO It does more to impart a Silky/Rich "sound" to vocals...than ANYTHING else I've ever heard.....

No not "spamming".... I just signed up here and a few things caught my eye.... I suppose I could go on a rant.... *AHEM* like some that I've seen here.... But to me that not be productive in any way,shape or form.... ;)
