Looks like I'm about to lose the headstock off of my Les Paul

Good God, Whitestrat- IMO, if a repair fails after only a month, that puppy goes BACK to the shop, and I expect a re-repair at no charge.

I have to ask, who did the repair?

Maybe my memory's foggy--maybe it was more than a month. Or maybe I didn't fight it 'cause I was looking for an excuse to replace the guitar? In any case, the break was at such an angle, that I remember him warning me that it was a tricky one--even before he did the job.

I hesitate to name him, because I really like him--he's a good guy who does good work. I just think this was a weird one.

Track Rat--you remember MacMurray Music up on Page before it closed a few years back? He was the main tech there (where this work was done) and now works at LS Electronics on Lackland--doing guitar and amp repair. I can't recall his name, and that's okay, 'cause in this context, it would be bad--and like I said, I like the guy!

Yeah, I remeber McMarkup. I knew a few guys that worked there in sales but none of the techs. That building is still empty.

I got my guitar back last night, and the guy did a great job. The repair is completely invisible, and I looked as closely as I could. As far as I can tell, playability and stability are great.

Keith George is the guy's name, and he works out of Bentley Guitar Studios in Parkville MO. I've heard nothing but good things about him, and he did a top notch job on my main guitar.

Outstanding. It's great to have a good luthier that you can trust.
