I had one of those when I was a kid cuz Gene Simmons endorsed em. I think. I cant really remember how it sounded though.

They were the big deal back in the day. Don't know how they'd stack up against a modern head. I'd be inclined to get it for that price just for the nostalgia factor, but then I'm old and I tend to collect junk.

I'd buy that for that price in a second and I don't even need one.

I'd take it for that price to have an emergency backup unit or for small room gigs. Yep, I said small room gigs. You can record it, too. But for the serious big stage gigs? It just won't cut it these days.

I would be using it for more recording use.
My only issue is I don't have a bass cab :p

The bugger is that it is rated for something like 320-watts at 2-ohms. I don't remember exactly, but I seem to recall those numbers. That means maybe 220-watts into 4-ohms and a piddly 150-watts into 8-ohms. And that's full volume! It'll likely distort then, so you turn it down to get a clean sound and get even less output. My math ain't what it used to be, but it's something like that. The point is that with an 8-ohm cabinet you'll fart louder, and most drummers will drown you out. Recording it, well it should sound fine. But live? With a loud band? Not these days.

from a collectors standpoint wouldn't it be a good find? A friend of mines dad has an old sun bass amp with kt88's and its so many kinds of wicked, I've been to jam parties where there's three guitarists wanking off and it still cuts through.

this one's solid state ..... I really doubt it's ever gonna be worth much as a collectors item although you never know.

Listing's deleted, so Moresound either got it, or won't. BTW, when I checked out the listing I didn't see say anywhere that it even worked.

Don't forget, though, that a lot of us old farts collect for nostalgia, not quality. I still want my old Acoustic 150 w/6 10's back, but by today's standards it's a pos.
