Could use more lyrics and some bottom end on the bass. Just to round out the bottom a bit. It's catchy - "everything but you" - great line. Stops and starts are a good touch. Good tune!

A fun listen to be sure. I too like the stop/start bits. Is that you singing? I liked the voice although it wasn't what I was expecting after the crunchy guitar intro. Reminded me oddly enough of a more aggressive version of Mark Whatshisname from Devo. Cool.

I wasn't wild about the guitar tone which seemed a little heavy on the gain maybe? To the point of sounding a but thin to me. I dunno - just a thought.

Yeah needs some work but has alot of cool ideas, as was stated needs bottom (150hz) and I'd take some highs off the guitars, they're a bit fizzy. Voice definately sounds like Devo. Enjoyed the listen.

Cool - thanks guys - will play with the EQ on the Guitar.

It sound so bass heavy on my monitors (KRK Rokit 6) im wondering if maybe I need to adjust the output or something - I will examine the 150hz range and see what I can do with it

thanks for the feedback

Yeah I re-did the vocal track several times - I have mixed feelings about my voice :) but i think i'm at the point of just being like - well thats my voice so screw it...

Post a version that's not 96 kb/s. You're not doing yourself any favors with a shitty quality MP3.

Yeah post a higher bit rate version. Cymbals are swishy beyond swishy.

The reverb gives it an 80's feel. If that's what you're going for.

The distorted guitar sounds a little fizzy. Lacking upper midrange.

Low End Enhanced

Ok - I remixed and beefed up the low end on the guitar and the drums a little - added a background choir :P

The low end on the guitar definitly helped - lemme know what you think (and thanks again for the feedback so far)

(I replaced the original file and this one is a higher bitrate)

So I bumped the 150Hz on the guitars and 80s on the drums - and exported it at a higher bit rate - any other suggestions? did those changes fix the issues?

Dude... I was just gonna say, you need a new less crappy mp3 version, but now I'm listening to the new version, and it's much better.

drums are *very* buried... Bring up the snare and kick about 10db. Bring up the toms, too. Guitars sound too 2-dimensional... I like the sound, but for some reason, I think I can hear the room coming through a lot... Sounds boxy... Open em' up.

Vocal performance needs more energy. Same problem with bass as guitars. Sounds boxy / phasey...

Keep working at it.

I liked it arcadeko, reminded me of a more rocky Joy Division than Devo though. The choir keyboard line gives it a good bit of depth. I thought the drums still needed work in the mix too, but I'm sure that what PI has suggested will sort that.

Thanks PoeticIntensity; that just what I was looking for!
I'm sure its been said 1,000,000 times but a new set of ears really helps after you have listened to a song 5,000 times...
