Audio Technica AT4060 tube microphone/ power supply situation

I had to put my music & studio gear into a storage for a couple of months until i was ready to move into a new house. When i unpacked everything, the power supply for the microphone was gone.i learned my lesson with storage places- ALWAYS SPEND A LITTLE MORE MONEY AND GET ALL THE INSURANCE THAT THE PLACE HAS TO OFFER.Now i have a microphone i cant use because i dont have a power supply.I cant afford a new power supply right now and its hard to sell a microphone when you cant even power it up.Now that ive invested $1300.00 in this AUDIO TECHNICA microphone that i cant use or sell because i would have to shell out another $600.00 if i wanted to purchase a new power supply and cable from AUDIO TECHNICA.Making it a $1900.00 investment. This AT4060 is a great mic and is in mint condition...I just cant afford it right now.I will sell to the highest bidder.Thank you,RICH SACCO

PM me back with what you hope or want to get for this microphone.

There seems to be a bunch of tube microphones out there for sale with no power supplies.
It's an epidemic I tell you!

That's a six pin, rack mounted power supply too.
Pity they're not a bit more generic/standard.

My 4060 was stolen last summer..They left the power supply!!!!making the mic they stole unusable!!!

Wounder what all these thieves do with these unusable microphones?

i dont know but if it were me, i'd find a recording forum somewhere, put it up for sale and take the best reasonable offer.

does anybody on this thread work for an auto insurance company in L.A.? I have the power supply for this unit if anyone wants it for the at4060

Omar,I dont work for a auto insurance company... but i was wondering if you have a power supply for the Audio Technica 4060 tube microphone.I think you posted a thread stating that you had your microphones stolen from you,is that correct ? Ive heard similar stories from a couple people on the east coast.Ive tried Audio Technicas service dept. and they have one of the worst customer relations/support department ! Even at this years NAMM SHOW,i inquired about the power supply and nobody at the AUDIO TECHNICA booth could answer my questions. They gave me a business card & number to call.It took 2 weeks before anybody got back to me and they gave me some kind of verbal ballpark figure of like "around $600.00 before tax and shipping " i responded with "are you kidding me,thats more than i paid for the mic" !!!!!!!!! i was very discouraged & disappointed.I cant afford to make the mic usable. At this point i dont even want the mic anymore and i will never buy an AUDIO TECHNICA microphone ever again !!! im trying to sell the mic for $300.00 with no power supply & no cord.I do have a buyer, but he cant find anywhere that will sell him the power supply and AUDIO TECHNICA is just giving him the run around in which is just discouraging him from buying the mic.well thanks for listening to my story and please let me know what you think.thank you,RICH SACCO 818-582-7753
