Korg D3200 Portastudio with VGA hookup mod to a monitor?

I recently was looking into a Korg D3200 stand alone portastudio and during my research I came across a few links to some guy who markets some sort of mod where he claims you can hook up a monitor to the tiny screen on the D3200. I'm not sure what it costs and I think the guy is located in France...if that factors into anything.

Does anyone have any comments on this? Any experiences with it to speak of?

Are there other mods out there for other portastudios to hook up a monitor to it? It seems like such an obvious thing to have, I can't believe all the companies haven't added a VGA output to hook up to by now and it takes someone to mod it. It would be a lot nicer not to have to bend over and squint all the time!

I guess I don't ahve enough posts to display a link so just Google, "Korg D3200 VGA" and you'll get a bunch of links with more info. Or YouTube the same thing and you'll see a couple demos from this cat.

Just wanted to see what peope have to say about this. Is this something valid to consider when looking at a D3200?

Shipping and the customs wait would be the killer from here in the US.

I can't believe it either... my major beef with standalone devices of late... at least my Yamaha AW4416 has separate hardware metering so you're not reliant on the display for that, but really, it's the 21st century, it should be no big deal to hook up a monitor to something like this and be able to assign certian things to it...

I have the Korg D3200 as well as the 2seemy which is the device which hooks the machine up to a full sized screen.
(Portastudio is Tascam)
The device works.
It costs $200 and completely transforms the machine.
It absolutely rocks.
I can read it across the room, edit in half the time, see from a distance when I'm clipping, it has no latency (other than when you hook it up to your PC) ..... it just rocks.

Thanks for the info Jim!

How did you get the device? Did you get it from 2seemy's website or did you go through another source?

I guess I'm looking for a quicker (and possibly safer) way of getting it without having to order all the way from France.

That's the only source.
Wilfrid, who runs the site is the same guy that invented it.
He's working on the Tascam Neo now, I think.
