I didn't. It was a guess. I also wanted to ask the seller a question about "what's on the first and on the second floor of the structure" ...heh heh :D

few years back when I've got tascam32 it "came" with case of 12 nos scotch-111 10" plastic reels. Those were cool ..heh heh, and you could "see the light" through the reel of tape. So I didn't even try recording on those, and sold them back on eBay for like about 5 bucks a piece.
Now I looked around and I don't have even a one single reel of 111 in any condition.

I assume you know something about acetate tape. You can find bunch of talks about it on the net if you google for keywords like "acetate polyester tape". Here's an interesting read I've just found in pdf form: http://www.aes.org/aeshc/docs/3mtape/soundtalk/soundtalkv2n1.pdf

Yes, Mike, I've previously read a bit about acetate tape but your link kinda filled in where I was lacking. Gives pause for thought so thanks for that info. I still wouldn't mind giving the tapes a try but maybe if something less expensive comes along. I just don't wanna potentially blow $40 or 50 bucks on 3 tapes for "experiment" sake. :D

So.... if anyone reading this has a couple of these available, still sealed and can give me a good price with shipping, I'd be interested. Thanks! :)
