What do I need to connect my Alesis DM6 Electronic Drumset to my iMac and how do I do it? I don't know if it would be of any help, but I also have a Line 6 Pod Studio UX2 audio interface.

I noticed that there's a USB port in the back of the module. Would I be able to connect it directly to the computer through USB just as I do with my keyboard? I'll be recording in GarageBand.

Here's a link to it: http://www.amazon.com/Alesis-DM6-Kit-Performance-Electronic/dp/B002C4SM5W/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

Yep. If a CD came with it, run the installer or whatever on the CD.

More specific answers please

Plug one end of the USB cable into the computer.

Plug the other end of the USB cable into the drum brain.

These usually have different connectors on either end, and only work one way.

If a CD-ROM came with the drum brain, insert it into the CD-ROM drive on the computer and do whatever it tells you to do.
